The Little Match Girl

While everyone else is doing Christmas shopping or enjoying the warmth of a fire and a blanket at home, this poor and lonely girl sits down in the street on her sackcloth. She is cold in her thin dress. She can’t go home since she didn’t sell a sulfur stick yet… When she cold creeps up her skin she lights a match, which only warms her briefly.

Since this performance works best on the ground, this act has no pedestal. The sackcloth is her ‘stage’. The sulfur sticks give a small flame and are not for sale. It is possible to let her hand out little presents to the audience or children.
